Configure a handset

Moving a handset from the office to outside the office is broadly speaking as simple as moving it there. However, you do need to make a small change to the handset.

1. Press the OK button twice

2. Type the displayed IP address into your browser. eg. http://192.168.1.123 - be sure to type this in the ADDRESS BAR - the long white strip at the very top of your browser.

3. Login with username: admin and password: admin

4. Click the VoIP tab and under Line 1 settings, type in the Server Address box the information given to you by your buzzbox support agent. eg. yourname.buzzbox.cc

5. Save your changes by clicking the Apply button then click the 'Return' link

6. Select the 'Advanced SIP Settings' option and in there near the bottom is an option called Local Port. Change that from 5060 to 5077

7. Save changes by clicking the Apply button

To take an out of office phone back to inside the office, you repeat the same steps except reverse the process in option 4 - in place of (eg) yourname.buzzbox.cc you will type the IP address of your buzzbox (eg. 192.168.0.201)

1. Press the Settings button -> Press 'OK' -> Press 'Next' -> Press 'OK'

2. Type the displayed IP address into your browser with :8000 at the end. eg. http://192.168.1.123:8000 - be sure to type this in the ADDRESS BAR - the long white strip at the very top of your browser.

3. Click the logo and login with username: private and password: lip

4. Click the VoIP Configuration menu option, under Line 1 settings, type in the Proxy Address box the information given to you by your buzzbox support agent. eg. yourname.buzzbox.cc

5. Change the Local UDP port from 5060 to 5077

6. Submit changes
