Configuring Zoiper app on Android (Apple iOS is a similar procedure)

Zoiper is a free Android and iPhone phone app compatible with buzzbox. There is a video to accompany this guide at [https://youtu.be/96xHfvvYSdI https://youtu.be/96xHfvvYSdI]. To set up up follow this guide:

1. Install the app from Google Play, or from this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoiper.android.zoiperbeta.app or https://apps.apple.com/us/app/zoiper-lite-voip-soft-phone/id438949960 on iPhone.

2. When the app first starts, start the Account Setup Wizard. If it asks you if you already have an account, select YES and then select MANUAL account. Account type is SIP.

3. In the 'Username' or 'Account' field type an extension number (Small Office/Pro User will be something like 6001) or your phone number (Single line users (Bronze plan etc) eg. 441234567890) followed by @ and then your assigned domain name (provided by your support agent for Small Office/Pro users) or sip2.buzzbox.cc for single line users. So, for example:

6001@yourco.buzzbox.cc (for Small Office or Pro)

441234567890@sip2.buzzbox.cc (for Single line)

4. In the 'Password' field type the password assigned to you by your buzzbox support agent (if you are a single user buzzbox Baby account) or the password for your extension (if you are a Cloud / Pro user - your network administrator will have this password).

5. The 'hostname' (aka 'provider' or 'domain') field will auto complete. If it doesn't enter the assigned domain name as per step 3. eg. sip2.buzzbox.cc for single line users, or ????.buzzbox.cc for Small Office/Pro users. Click Next.

6. Tick the box titled 'My provider/PBX requires an authentication username'. Type an extension number (Small Office/Pro User will be something like 6001) or your phone number (Single line users (Bronze plan etc) eg. 441234567890). Leave 'Outbound Proxy' blank.

7. The app will test the connection. Regardless of whether it fails or not (it normally fails), Select 'SIP TCP' then tap 'Finish'. '''Now proceed to step 8 below as it is IMPORTANT for the connection to succeed'''
